A
very complicated European Union law called the General Data Protection
Regulation (GDPR) will be implemented on May 25, 2018. It focuses on
information held or processed about any European Union resident, the
rights of individuals regarding the processing and storage of their
information and the responsibilities of those handling that information.
What
does this mean for this blog? I am not sure but
here is what I can tell you about how this site and I handle your
information.
Gone Researching < www.goneresearching.blogspot.com > is a personal blog, not a business, where I share information about my favorite hobby -- genealogy. Generally, I do not talk about living people with identifying information aside from when reviewing a lecture, seminar or published material.

to this blog are moderated to prevent spam messages. When you make a
comment to a post on this blog it is public if it is approved for
publication by the webmaster. Not all comments will be approved. The
name you use to comment and the contents of your comment message are
publicly visible but the email you use to make the comment is not. If
you opt to be notified of other comments to the post you commented on be
